Why is there always a re-do when it's not what our county executive wants?

    To the Editor:
As the saying goes, "You don't know what you got 'til it's gone."

Think twice before voting for the Orange Valley View Development Corporation.

Now that you had more time to research what a Local Development Corporation will do and does, you should know it is not what the taxpayers of Orange County want — and this is most Orange County taxpayers, not just workers and family of Valley View. If you turn it over, your say does not matter anymore, and you cannot promise workers will have jobs or that residents will get the proper care they need.

They want Valley View to remain county owned and open!

When things are rushed, wrong decisions are made!

We were purposely run in the ground for 10 years by Orange Administrative Services (OAS) (done purposely without our knowledge), and in a short time improved drastically just to be threatened with closure again. Is there something wrong with this picture? That alone would make me want to have an investigation before I could even imagine voting on something.

And why is there always a re-do in voting when it isn't what our county executive wants?

Take your time. What if you had family members in Valley View or in a few years would need to be there? What if you had/have family or friends that work there?

I took a drive around the other day and saw so many "for sale" signs, it was really sad! I have lived here 49 years and have never seen so many "for sale" signs in my life.

There will be a public hearing Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at the 911 center, 22 Wells Farm Road, in Goshen. Please everyone come to the hearing!
