Marion Lichwick, of New Hampton, NY, a retired nurse’s aide from Orange Farms, Goshen, and an avid Yankee fan, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. She was 90.
The daughter of the late Henry Irving Cherry and Helen Bruke Cherry, she was born on December 1, 1931 in Goshen, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Weslowski and companion, Bob Klopchin; son, Daniel Lichwick and wife Colleen; daughter-in-law, Frances Lichwick; grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, DJ and Dillon; great grandchild, Addyson; sisters, Alice Raymond and Margaret Lynch; brother, George Cherry; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank M. “Semo” Lichwick; son, Frank M. Lichwick, Jr., and grandson, Kyle Weslowski; and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 27th at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 28th, at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island. Due to COVID 19, the funeral home is currently following the NY State mandate regarding the use of masks.
