Marie Salom

Marie Salom of Chester, N.Y., a retired transport coordinator for Mid City Transit Company in Middletown, N.Y., and an 18-year resident of the area, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at her residence. She was 83.
Daughter of the late Tomas and Marie Manca, she was born in New York in 1935.
Marie was the widow of Edward Kotak and Richard Salom.
She is survived by her children, Thomas and his wife, Maureen Kotak, Edward and his wife, Sue Kotak, Joseph and his wife, Eileen Kotak, Maria and her husband, Angel Ramos, Catherine Kotak and her companion, William; a stepson, Richard Salom; grandchildren, Michael, Eddie, Chris, Jonathan, Kristen, Lauren, Jessica, Thomas, Jenna, James, Matthew, and William; brother, John Manca and his wife, Linda; along with niece and nephew, John and Darlene Manca.
Visitation was held Nov. 8 at Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Centers, Monroe, N.Y. A prayer service was held at the funeral home with Sister Ann Daly officiating.
Cremation followed at Oxford Hills Crematory, Chester, NY.
