Albert Wisner Public Library offers a variety of programs for children, teens, and young adults such as board game nights every Monday, guest speakers, and informational workshops. The branch’s “Library of Things” allows cardholders to borrow outdoor games like cornhole, croquet and badminton sets, home items such as leaf blowers and shop vacs, an outdoor projector and screen, arts and crafts items and much more. Museum passes are also available for The New York Historical Society, Storm King Art Center, MoMA, the Guggenheim and more.

At Chester Public Library, teens can participate in summer volunteer programs and fun craft workshops. Programs for families are also available, such as Tiny Tots Story Time on Thursday mornings and “Crafternoon” on Wednesday afternoons. Adults can partake in the library book club, and all are welcome to visit the library garden that includes a seed library, gardening programs throughout the summer, and volunteer opportunities. Chester Public Library cardholders are able to checkout passes to museums like Storm King Art Center and Bethel Woods. Additionally, the Empire Pass can be checked out to use at New York State parks like Nyack Beach and Bear Mountain.

The Florida Public Library allows cardholders to borrow more than just books; their “Library of Things” offers anything from games to gardening tools. There is weekly story time for children ages 3-5, and multiple programs for teens such as driver’s permit test prep and summer volunteering. For adults, the library offers job resume assistance, language learning programs, and a book club that meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Goshen Public Library offers something to do nearly every day of the week. Saturday Book Club takes place at 10 a.m. at the beginning of each month. Mindfulness Mondays and Wellness Wednesdays offer activities for adults to take care of their mental and physical health. Craft workshops for children take place multiple times a week throughout the summer. Study and meeting rooms are available to book as well.

The Greenwood Lake Public Library has summer reading programs for children beginning mid-June. The children’s garden club takes place Friday afternoons. Guest speakers and information sessions for adults take place monthly. Museum passes offer cardholders admission to museums such as the American Museum of Natural History and the Liberty Science Center.

Monroe Free Library has a wide variety of services and programs. Kindergarten preparatory programs and kids craft workshops take place multiple days throughout the week. Adult clubs for activities such as chess and origami are on Saturdays and Sundays. The occasional Movie on the Lawn is shown Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer. At the Tuxedo Park Library, cardholders can enjoy “Crafternoons,” adult bingo, baby story time, yoga classes, and informational workshops. The library offers web services for learning a new language, research databases, and 3D printing. Tuxedo Free Library also offers museum passes to a number of different museums and art centers.

With a library card at Woodbury Public Library, users can save money on streaming services, museum passes, language learning services, and New York Times access. Job prep and mock-interview coaching is available for free. Drawing classes, crochet clubs, book clubs, and kids craft classes are available weekly.
At the Rushmore branch, Mah Jongg Club is open to beginners, experts and everyone in between Saturdays at 11 a.m. and Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. Crochet Club is at 6 p.m. on Mondays.
Krafty Kids, a summer craft program for children between Kindergarten and fifth grade, is at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays starting July 8 at the Ida Cornell Branch. Chess clubs also meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
