The upcoming week is packed with live music, starting with the Greenwood Lake Centennial Family Day on Saturday; a special tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young; and the return of the popular Dueling Pianos at DUBCO Acres.
Saturday, August 17
The Greenwood Lake Centennial Family Day kicks off at 11 a.m., featuring all-day performances by The Rock Underground, DJ Ry Guy, Missyping Band, Voodoo Strangers, and classic rock favorites Vinyl Tap. At 1 p.m., Wooden Ships will pay tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young at Blue Arrow Farm (86 Glenwood Rd., Pine Island), with tickets available at bluearrowfarm.com.
At 2 p.m., Worm Farm takes the stage at Warwick Valley Winery, Distillery & Orchard (114 Little York Rd., Warwick), while jazz enthusiasts can enjoy the Jeff Ciampa Trio at The Last Whisky Bar (45 Woodlands Way, Warwick) for their Saturday Afternoon Jazz series.
Also at 2 p.m., Kyle & Roni will blend vocals and duo tunes at Applewood Winery (82 Four Corners Rd., Warwick), and the jazz-rock fusion group Santa Barbara performs at Clearview Vineyard (35 Clearview Lane, Warwick).
At 3 p.m., Alias Smith and Jones with A Button Man, known for their CDs as Renée & The Derelicts, will play at Meadow Blues Coffee (8 Greycourt Ave., Chester) — tickets are $20.
The Pennings Farm Cidery Sunset Series continues at 5 p.m. with Kinfolk (4 Warwick Turnpike, Warwick), including a $10 cover charge, while Some Guys and a Broad perform at Echo Fields (197 Pine Hill Rd., Westtown).
At 6 p.m., The Moonflower Band will entertain at the Orange County Distillery’s Brown Barn Farms (286 Maple Ave., New Hampton). The evening rounds out with Owls & Lions at Cove Castle Restaurant (13 Castle Ct., Greenwood Lake) at 7 p.m., OC5 at Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park (7 Windermere Ave., Greenwood Lake) for the Greenwood Lake Summer Concert Series at 7 p.m., and classic country from Gunsmoke at Stanley Demming Park at 7:30 p.m.
Later, at 8 p.m., Ryan Adams brings his solo tour to Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center (1351 Kings Hwy., Chester) to celebrate the anniversaries of “Love is Hell” and his self-titled album, with tickets available at sugarloaftix.com.
Frank “F Bomb” Sorino & Friends will rock out at Barrel 28 (28 N Main St., Florida) at 8:30 p.m., and the Orange County-based band Brotherhood will close out the night at Mattingly’s Tavern (16 N Main St., Florida) at 9 p.m.
Sunday, August 18
On Sunday, the live music lineup begins at 1 p.m. with Jeremy Langdale’s acoustic tunes at Cove Castle Restaurant. At the same time, the Songwriter Showcase will be held at the Edenville General Store (240 Pine Island Turnpike, Pine Island). At 2 p.m., singer-songwriter Dylan Doyle takes the stage at Warwick Valley Winery, Distillery & Orchard, while Carolyn Weller performs at Apple Dave’s Orchards (82 Four Corners Rd.). Also at 2 p.m., John Newhall will play a mix of folk, R&B, classic rock, and pop at Clearview Vineyard, and Smokin’ Buddie Steve Wells delivers an acoustic set at Applewood Winery. At 3 p.m., The Harrisons take the stage at Pennings Farm Market Beer Garden (161 State Route 94 S., Warwick), while the Norton Smull Band brings their blues, rock, and country sounds to The Last Whisky Bar. At 4 p.m., Kobi & Al perform duo tunes at The Cidery, and Joe Trent & Rick Norman share their songs at D’Boathaus (322 Lakeside Rd., Hewitt, NJ).
Wednesday, August 21
On Wednesday, starting at 4 p.m., Danny C’s Hot Rod Cruise Night continues at Blue Arrow Farm with a special show by Vinyl Tap.
Thursday, August 22
The Baird’s Tavern Backyard Music Series (103 Main St., Warwick) features DUG, a trio playing rock covers, at 6:30 p.m., followed by Henry McKenna at Mattingly’s Tavern at 7 p.m.
Friday, August 23
Friday’s music starts at 5 p.m. with Dan & Joana at Clearview Vineyard. At 6 p.m., the popular Dueling Pianos returns to DUBCO Acres (65 Four Corners Rd., Warwick), where performers from Savage Pianos will take on audience requests in a night full of drinks, laughter, and fun. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60, which includes one drink, and are available through Dubco’s website.
Also at 6 p.m., the Clam ‘n Jam at Pennings Farm Market Beer Garden features local favorites Vera and the Force, while Rick Barth brings his singer-songwriter tunes to Double S Smokehouse (49 Oakland Ave., Warwick). The Delear Brothers will stop by Brown Barn Farms for their performance starting at 6 p.m.
At 7 p.m., Pure Petty takes the stage, delivering an electrifying performance of Tom Petty hits at Blue Arrow Farm. Formed in 2019, Pure Petty, led by Jimmy Mannix and joined by top musicians, recreates Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ music with precision and respect. Tickets can be purchased at bluearrowfarm.com.
At 7:30 p.m., the Greenwood Lake Theatre presents “Midsummer’s Night Dream” at Trail’s End Taphouse at GWL Garden Market (1197 NY-17A, Greenwood Lake). At 8 p.m., Dylan Doyle plays at The Last Whisky Bar, followed by Driving Kim Crazy rocking out at Barrel 28 at 8:30 p.m.
