GOSHEN — You’ll leave the auditorium saying “there’s no place like home” after enjoying one of the four productions of “The Wizard of Oz” at Goshen High School in March. The Goshen High School Performing Arts presentation of the L. Frank Baum classic, is directed by Lori Fedor with assistance from Molly Lloyd and Hugh Mackay. Choreography is by Ronda Barber with assistance from Veronica Nogrady and Ruth Hulbert. Tickets are now on sale for all four performances. “The Wizard of Oz” is the delightful story of Dorothy Gale, brought to life by sophomore Julia Siracuse, dreaming about what lies beyond her little farm in Kansas. After a twister hits, Dorothy and her friends Scarecrow (portrayed by senior Corey Rando), Tinman (senior Mike Maduras), and the Cowardly Lion (senior Jonathan Frederick) travel the universe of Dorothy’s imagination. The trip to Oz is naturally fraught with many bumps in the road devised by the Wicked Witch of the West (senior Juliana Weiss). Fortunately, they are helped along the way by Glinda, the good witch (junior Heather Koennecke) and the Wizard himself (junior Tucker Brownell). The chorus of Ozians, Monkeys, Jitterbugs, Poppies and Trees will be joined by an energetic group of students from the Goshen Intermediate School, helping to fill out the ranks of the Munchkins. Patron tickets, available until Feb. 10, are $25. All other seating is $12 per ticket. All seats are reserved and these shows always sell out, so don’t miss your chance to take a walk down the yellow brick road. For more information about tickets, call Goshen High School at 615-6105.
