Teenager attacked in drug-related altercation
Chester A teenager was assaulted Monday night by 22-year-old Sean Dieudonne, the Village of Chester Police have charged. Dieudonne assaulted Randall Phillips, 17, of Chester in front of a convenience store at 3 Bryle Place in the village at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 14, according to the police. The victim was treated and released from Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, for a possible concussion, lacerations and bruises, the police report said. Police say the motive for the altercation appears to be drug related. The investigation is continuing. Dieudonne was charged with third-degree assault and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of a $1,500 bond, $3,000 cash, and is scheduled to appear in village court at 3 p.m. on March 10. Also arrested in the incident was a 16-year-old female from Warwick who was with Dieudonne at the time. She was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and unlawful possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct, both violations. She was remanded to the Orange County Jail with no bail set, and is scheduled to appear in village court on March 3 at 3 p.m.
