Red Team dominates at faculty basketball game

Goshen faculty and staff showed off their best moves on the basketball court during the faculty basketball game, hosted by the Goshen High School Student Senate.

Superintendent Daniel Connor coached the Red Team, made up of Goshen Intermediate School and C. J. Hooker Middle School teachers, staff and administrators, while Goshen High School social studies teacher Robert Karchawer lead the Blue Team, with employees from the Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School and Goshen High School. In the end, the Red Team was victorious.

According to Gregory Voloshin, assistant principal at Goshen High School, the evening was a great success.

"The crowd was terrific; involved in the entire game," he said. "A special thank you goes out to all who helped make this event a positive and successful evening for the community."

The Red Team consisted of Goshen Intermediate School staff members Jason Carter, Michael Tangney, Kathryn Magid, Christopher Haller, Erin Sherry, Angela Hoffman, Vincent Pettine, Darlene Ferraro, Karen Kropp, Michele Pacciarelli, Ian Mahoney, Diane Hynes, Nicole Hernandez, Jennifer Hopkins, Kelly Vaughan; and C.J. Hooker staff members John Piscitella, Margaret Storms, Ed Killenberger, Corey Zoutman, Marianne Schneider, Nancy Clark and Fred Zamorski.

The Blue Team included staff members from Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School Jen Cestare, John Mardyniak, Sheryl Gage, Cheryl Winship, Valerie Cassel, Joanne Karchawer, Kate Loftus, Michelle Girardi and Dorothy McKenna; and Goshen High School staff members Kurtis Kotes, Patricia Lercara, Andy Krish, Mike Kelly, Tom Gilbert, Gus Lawson, Cindy McGlynn, Lisa Bellato, Gayonne Hartley, Therese Urato, Jon Redeker and Joe Condello.

The game officials were Ken Soroka, Class of '87, and Carl Maybury, Class of '73.
