— The Goshen Gladiators beat New Paltz 29-14 this past Saturday to clinch the Class A Division II title, its first in 20 years.
Athletic Director Matthew O’Brien thanked Middletown Athletics for allowing Goshen to play on its field due to the poor field conditions in Goshen.
It was also “Senior Day,” and the 33 senior football players and cheerleaders, along with their families, were honored.
Goshen is now getting ready for the playoffs, with its first playoff game on Oct. 26. The team’s opponent has yet to be determined.
