Roach brothers serving in the Middle East
Chester A couple of brothers, David and Seth Roach of Chester, are currently serving in the Middle East. Staff Sgt. David Roach is with the Air Force at Ali al Salem in Kuwait. Cpl. Seth Roach is serving with the Marines in Fallujah, Iraq. These soldiers are sons of Connie and Lee Roach of Chester. Both men graduated from Chester High School. David graduated in 2000 and Seth in 2003. David chose to go into the Air Guard after graduating high school. He did his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base and techical school at Goodfellow Air Force Base , Texas. He is a trained firefighter for the Air Force. David is employed by the City of Newburgh firefighters. He is with the 101st Wing out of Stewart Air Base in Newburgh. Seth chose the Marines. He graduated from boot camp, Parris Island, N.C. He completed his technical training in communications. Seth served in Okinawa for two years. He returned to the United States in September and deployed to Iraq in January. Seth is with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force. Their paternal grandfather served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was at the Battle of the Bulge. Their father, Lee, served with the 82nd Airborne Division. They have several uncles that have also served our nation. David and Seth have attended many Veterans and Memorial Day services with their mother over the years. This year will be an extra special Veterans Day service for their mother, Connie, to stand next to both of her soldiers. They are both due back in late summer.
