Realtors launch Community Heritage Initiative

PR program: Free postcards with historical renderings for Goshen residents Goshen Real Estate Solutions, a professional affiliation of R.J. Smith Realty and D.L. Hawkins & Associates, has launched The Community Heritage Initiative, a new community relations program that provides area residents with free historical renderings and postcards of their town or village. The campaign kicked off at the Orange County Government Center on June 5, where Real Estate Solutions principal R.J. Smith, as well as key management members Dave Smith, Michael Sullivan and Thomas Pahucki (also serves as a county legislator, District 21), presented county officials with seven oversized historical lithographs of communities throughout Orange County. The county plans to hang the framed gifts in the government center’s lobby. Orange County Executive Edward Diana said, “I salute Real Estate Solutions on this tremendous initiative. They are a welcome partner as we celebrate the 325th anniversary of Orange County.” Real Estate Solutions plans to mail samples of the drawings, printed on high-quality, the 6-by-11-inch postcards, to over 50,000 area households. The communities that will receive the drawings include: Pine Bush, Goshen, Warwick and Walden in Orange County, the Hamlet of Wallkill and Village of Ellenville in Ulster County. R.J. Smith said, “Our organization has been successful not simply because of our great service and resources, but also because of our strong relationships with the community. The Community Heritage Initiative is just another way we are giving back.” “The Community Heritage Initiative is also a civic-minded way for Real Estate Solutions to create new relationships in the community,” said Dave Hawkins, the other principal of Real Estate Solutions. “Rather than putting these resources into traditional advertising, this is a much better way to remind residents that we can be a trusted friend when they are in the market to buy or sell a home.” The initiative follows other recent marketing efforts by Real Estate Solutions to maintain its position as a real estate trend setter within the region. The firm this spring broke ground on a new 10,000-square-foot office in Goshen and last fall began a new electronic marketing program that includes sending targeted e-brochures to over one-million people per month. Residents receiving the mailings, as well as other members of the community, may visit www.realEsolutions.com to download and print hundreds of additional drawings and maps from around the Hudson Valley.
