High school students receive academic letters
GOSHEN More than 120 students at Goshen High School were recently recognized for academic excellence. For the first time, sophomores, juniors and seniors were presented with academic letters during class meetings in the Goshen High School auditorium. Those who received academic letters were being honored for achieving the high honor roll for all four marking periods during the previous school year. Superintendent Daniel T. Connor and Goshen High School Principal Robert Litz conceived the idea to recognize high-achieving scholars with academic letters, which is similar to how athletes are recognized for their accomplishments with varsity letters. Each student was congratulated by Connor, Litz, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Jane Unhjem and Board of Education President James Kimiecik.
