Goshen students participate in 'Great New York ReadAloud'

GOSHEN - Students from the Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School and the C. J. Hooker Middle School participated in the recent “Great New York ReadAloud” at Orange-Ulster BOCES. The following students participated in the ReadAloud: Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School Students from Mrs. Karchawer’s second-grade class featuring the book, “Marsupial Su,” by John Lithgow Brendan Donovan, Isabel Dooley, Alayna Fuller, Daniel Johnson, Maggie Miller, Alexandria Thurtle and Aniya Cooper Students from Mrs. Winship’s second-grade class featuring the book, “The Most Terrible Creature in the World,” by Barbara Beveridge Violet Bachorik, Brendan Fitzpatrick, Luke Horton, Dylan Kane, Ryan Mistretta, Emma Myruski, Jillian Noteboom and Sara Rab Students from Ms. Forgione’s second-grade class featuring the book “Catch the Cookie,” by Marcia Vaughan Laura Aglione, Ashlynn Crasa, Katie DeFusto, Taylore Foremny, Joseph Kresse, Joshua Mulshine, Meghan O’Donnell and Lauren Scarzafava C. J. Hooker Middle School Girl Scout Troop 365 featuring the book “The English Roses,” by Madonna Mia Brugellis, Adrian Cepeda, Carolanne Clark, Alexa Marie Fini, Olivia Fini, Gianna Gesualdo, Jenna Kresse, Jessica Lowe and Emma Pawliczak Libraries and schools throughout New York State have sponsored Read Alouds during National Library Week and School Library Media Month for the past 21 years.
