Proceeds to fund research for Rett Syndrome Campbell Hall — “An Evening of Hope” will raise money for Eva Fini, a little girl from Campbell Hall with Rett Syndrome. The event will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the home of her parents, Aimee and Albert Fini, at 20 Bella Vista Court. Tickets are $125, and sponsorship opportunities are also available. Proceeds will benefit the Eva Fini Fund at the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. “Eva has been through a long year of therapy,” wrote her parents, Aimee and Albert Fini. “She has been attending a typical preschool for the past three years having therapy at school, and continued therapy for the rest of her day at home. On top of learning the ABC’s and 123’s along with the rest of her peers, she had additional goals that are continued throughout her day. Her goals consist of activities we take for granted such as being able to feed ourselves, brush our teeth, walking up and down stairs, and the ability to communicate. Although Eva struggles with all these tasks every day, her determination is heroic. “Those of you who donated last year, thank you for joining our mission in raising $160,000 which was all donated to research for Rett Syndrome. With your support, our hope is to exceed this amount this year....Help us to make Rett Syndrome the first reversible brain disorder.” Make contributions payable to The Eva Fini Fund at RSRT, P.O. Box 998, Goshen, NY 10924. For more information, visit www.evafinifund.org.
