Sugar Loaf. The Sugar Loaf Community Foundation held its 40th Anniversary Awards Dinner on Nov 15. Awards for their contributions to the community were made by foundation president Nick Zungoli to Professor Richard Hull, hamlet historian and the SLCF’s first president; Bob Fury, longtime resident who lead the effort to create Knapp’s View Park; Richard Logothetis, the former owner of the Lycian Performing Arts Center; and Walter Kannon, hamlet patriarch and former owner of the Barnsider Tavern. The well-attended event was also a sneak preview of the soon to be opened Tin Barn Brewery on the Sugar Loaf bypass.
