Burger, Pavloff named newest Community Foundation directors

Montgomery The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan has named Stephen Burger and Andrew Pavloff to its Board of Directors. Burger is manager of new business services and gas operations for Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp. He also serves on the boards of directors for Walden Savings Bank, Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Orange, and Council of Industry of Southeastern New York. He is the 2009 campaign chair for the Orange County United Way. Andrew J. Pavloff, CPA, is founding partner of Knack, Pavloff & Co. He is a principal of Knack, Pavloff & Co. a public accounting firm with offices in Monticello and Middletown. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Orange County and secretary of the Cooperative Federal Credit Union in Sullivan County. Joanne Gross and Josh Sommers were recently appointed as officers of the Community Foundation. Gross is the owner of several businesses including Sneakers to Boots, CMC Properties, and Stonehedge Farm. She will serve as vice president n development, a new officer position on the foundation’s board. Sommers will serve as assistant secretary of the foundation’s board. He is vice president and CEO of Focus Media in Monticello with additional offices soon to be located in Goshen. Other officers of the Community Foundation Board of Directors are R.J. Smith as president; David Cocks as vice president n finance; Gerald Jacobowitz, as vice president -development; Derrik Wynkoop as treasurer; and William Vacca as secretary. Directors include: Chris Ashman, Ann Barber Smith, Michael Bonura, William Bratton, William Devitt, Dorothy Fein, Katharine Fitzgerald, Philip Guarnieri, David Hawkins, Sandy Leonard, Jonah Mandelbaum, Dr. Patrick Michel, Howard Mills, Anne Palmer Moss, Rolland Peacock III, Tom Sullivan and Joe Vanderhoof.
