R. Vincent Hammond Jr. of Highland Mills passed on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at home with his loving wife by his side. He was 85 years old.
Vince/Hamm was born April 23, 1935, in New York City, the son of Roosevelt V. Hammond Sr. and Lavinia V. (Moore) Hammond.
He was an active member in the Orange County Community.
He was a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Christine E. Hammond at home; son Vincent; daughter Cheryl and husband Dave Pearsall.
Visitation was held Jan. 10 at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen.
Services will be held out of state in Virginia. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Goshen Rotary Scholarship Fund.
