John Fernez

John Fernez of Monroe, N.Y., passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at home. He was 89.
Son of Umberto and Rose Marino Fernez, he was born Nov. 26, 1929, in the Bronx.
John was an actuary for the State of New York in Manhattan.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his sons John Fernez Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Connecticut, Dennis and his wife, Lori, of Babylon, N.Y., Raymond and his wife, Michelle, of Sugar Loaf, N.Y., and Richard and his wife, JoAnn, of Monroe; his daughters, Lisa Fernez of Nyack, N.Y., and Linda Fernez of Woodridge, N.J.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Helen.
Visitation was held June 19 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Funeral Service will be held June 20 in the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Paul Thompson.
Interment followed at Seamanville Cemetery in Monroe.
