Jay R. Roach

Jay R. Roach of Goshen, N.Y., died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Park Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Middletown, N.Y. He was 68.
Son of George E. Roach and Viola M. (Murray) Roach, he was born Jan. 15, 1950, in Goshen.
He served in the U.S. Marines from 1969 to 1971, during the Vietnam War; and worked for the Orange County Government in Goshen as a County Employee.
He is survived by his brothers, Carl Kruger (Loretta), Gary Roach (Trudy), and Lee Roach; nieces, Laurie Kruger, Shannon Roach, Sarah Roach. Nephews: Jeffery Kruger, Scott Kruger, David Roach, and Seth Roach; and sister-in-law Connie Roach.
A family statement reads: "Jay was a kind, gentle and generous brother and uncle with a great sense of humor. Jay never judged others. 'To each his own.'"

A Graveside service with military honors will be held at noon on Thursday, April 19, at the Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen.
Arrangements are under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Goshen.
