Eve DeFord Edwards and Matthew John Hosking

GOSHEN — Mary and John Hosking of Goshen, N.Y., are excited to announce the engagement of their son, Matthew John Hosking, to Eve DeFord Edwards, daughter of Peter Edwards of Brazil and Augusta Edwards of Barrington, Rhode Island.

Matthew is a graduate of Goshen High School, the University of Delaware, and Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine. He is an associate veterinarian with Daniel Island Veterinary Hospital in Daniel Island, South Carolina.

Eve graduated from Barrington High School in Rhode Island, the University of Delaware, and Arcadia University of Pennsylvania, where she studied to become a Physician's Assistant and received her Master's of Medical Science. She is a Physician's Assistant in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dr. Hosking and Ms. Edwards have purchased a house in Mount Pleasant, S.C., and are planning to wed in 2016.
