Thomas J. Leddy of Middletown passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 74 years old.

The son of Jeremiah and Helen Grace Leddy, he was born on July 24, 1946, in New York City.

Thomas proudly served his country from 1966 to 1969 during the Vietnam War.

After his honorable discharge, Tom became a court officer and rose through the ranks, ultimately obtaining the position of Chief Court Officer for the courts outside New York City.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe, NY, and served for many years as an usher and a counter.

Throughout his life, he was a diehard fan of the game of hockey.

Survivors include his loving daughters, Christine A. Leddy of Astoria and Carolyn M. Leddy of Alexandria, Virginia; Carolyn’s husband, Jofi Joseph; and Tom’s brother, Daniel Leddy of Tarrytown.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia Leddy.

Visitation was held March 24 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.

A funeral mass was celebrated March 25 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe.

Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
