Thaddeus John Stankiewicz Jr. of Middletown entered into rest on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023. He was 82.
The son of Thaddeus John Stankiewicz Sr. and Maria Dwarski Stankiewicz, he was born on July 26, 1941, in Florida, N.Y.
He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church and its Holy Name Society, Florida, N.Y.
He is survived by his daughter Kathy Alford and husband Jeff; son Paul Stankiewicz and wife Kathleen; daughter Maryann Benedict and husband Joel; daughter Helen Rahm; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Rosemarie Dembeck and Genevieve Lusignan and husband Arthur; along with numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Carol Ann Welyczko Stankiewicz; son Thaddeus John Stankiewicz III; granddaughter Amber Helen Stankiewicz; son-in-law Michael Rahm; sisters Theresa Welyczko, Ann Palmer and Dora Zolonski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida.
