Scott A. Gage of Goshen died Friday, March 5, 2021, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He was 59 years old.

Scott was born Dec. 19, 1961, in Cortland, the son of Arthur N. Gage and Ida (Main) Gage.

He was a Bus Driver for Mid City Transit in Middletown.

Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent many days hunting and fishing with his dad, brother, daughters, nieces and nephews. He was happiest with a day spent on the water or in the woods. He loved spending time at his favorite places, the family camp on Lake Ninevah in Mt. Holly, Vermont and camping in Rhode Island.

Scott is survived by his wife Nora F. (Moore) Gage; his parents Arthur and Ida Gage; daughters Mackenzie F. Gage and Morgan E. Gage; sisters Laura Pedersen and husband Wayne and Cheryl Gage and husband Chris; brother Bradley Gage and wife Kimberly; sisters-in-law Irene Becker, Miriam Cassel and (Joe) and Mamie Elliott (Ford); brothers-in-law Peter Moore (Steve), Jimmy Moore (Rita), and Matt Moore (Mary); nieces and nephews Shawn, Kit, Arthur, Steven, Taryn, Jessica, Kelsey, Brittany, Joe, Jeremy, Catherine, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jimmy, Jennifer, Tim and Jake.

He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Irene F. Moore and father-in-law, James R. Moore; paternal and maternal grandparents; and brother-in-law David Becker.

Visitation was held March 9 at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St. in Goshen. A funeral service celebrating Scott’s life was held later that evening at the funeral home.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
