Rosalind Spar of Goshen, NY, passed away after a long illness on November 16, 2021, at Garnet Medical Center in Wallkill, NY. She was 79 years old.

Born in New York City on January 6, 1942, she was the daughter of Henry and Ida (nee Meyerowitz) Getzoff. Rosalind was retired from a successful career as a dedicated, enthusiastic New York City public school teacher, where her creativity, sense of fun, and most of all, her compassion for others won the hearts of students and colleagues alike. Her warmth, spontaneity, and generous heart drew people to her. These traits were the bedrock of many long and dear friendships. She flowered amongst her friends and family, people she loved. We will miss her dearly!

Rosalind is survived by her beloved daughter, Zoe Mullhaupt and her husband Chris, of Warwick, NY; three grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Joseph, Glen, and Lindy; dear siblings: brother Roger Getzoff and his wife Bobbie; and sister Heidi Kohn and her husband Efraim.

A “Celebration of Rosalind’s Life” is being planned for Spring 2022. Arrangements were entrusted to Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990. To send an online condolence, visit www.lsvpmemorialhome.com
