Marion Lupinski Cavallaro

Marion Lupinski Cavallaro, a lifelong resident of Chester, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 2, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 85 years of age.

Marion was born in Goshen on March 19, 1936, to Chester Lupinski and Helen Werhan Lupinski.

She was married for 64 years to John Anthony Cavallaro.

Marion was a proud 1954 graduate of the Chester High School. For many years she was very active with the Chester High School Alumni Association serving as historian for 30 years.

She was a life member of the Chester Historical Society as well as a member of the Chester Hambletonian Branch of the Red Hats.

Through out her life she thoroughly enjoyed sharing with all her extensive knowledge and memories about the history of Chester and the school.

Marion was a homemaker and also worked as the office manager for the family business Cavallaro Farms and AJ Cavallaro and Sons, Inc., Goshen.

Marion was a kind, warm, generous, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was very proud of her family and their accomplishments. She treasured her time spent with them. She was also surrounded by a wonderful caring group of friends, neighbors and extended family.

Marion was predeceased in death by her husband John Cavallaro and her parents Chester and Helen Lupinski.

Marion is survived by her daughter LuAnn Cavallaro of Kernersville, N.C., son Andrew Cavallaro of Middletown, her grandson Anthony James Cavallaro and his wife Christie of Goshen, Dr. Vincent Cavallaro and his wife Jacqueline of Stratford, Conn., granddaughter Brianna Cavallaro Ognibene and her husband James of Middletown; great granddaughters Kaleigh Grace Cavallaro and Brielle Marion Cavallaro of Goshen.

Marion is also survived by her sisters Rose Lupinski Mazzarulli and husband Joe of Middletown, Christine Lupinski Battiato (pre-deceased by husband Russ) of Chester; as well as nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Marion will be forever loved and greatly missed by her family and friends. She made her family all better people.

Graveside services were held on May 6 at St. Columba R. C. Church Cemetery on Route 94, Chester.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Thomas and Brendan Flynn and the staff of Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers Inc., 3 Hudson St., Chester.
