Barbara F. Militello of Highland Mills passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
The daughter of Stanley and Gladys Ziemianski, Barbara was born and raised in the Bronx. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills.
Survivors include her daughters Janice Militello of Highland Mills and Barbara Adamo and her husband Alfred of Washingtonville; brother James Ziemianski and his wife Annette of Massapequa; and two grandchildren: Stephanie Messenger and Joseph Adamo.
Barbara was a loving, caring and selfless person who put everyone before herself. She was dearly loved and liked by everyone she met. Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother and best friend to her daughters. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and walks with Charlie the dog.
She was an administrative assistant at Manhattan Savings Bank in New York City and a mortgage loan processor at the Bank of New York in Middletown.
Visitation was held March 25 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
A Funeral Mass was held March 26 at St. Patrick’s Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills.
Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
