Chester. Help the Chester Historical Society during the Covid-19 pandemic

| 06 Jul 2020 | 04:11

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Chester Historical Society has decided, for the safety of its members and the community, to cancel its normal fund-raising efforts this year; including the Spring Yard Sale and the Autumn Penny Social.

With the cancellation of these two fund raisers alone, the society will be losing approximately $2,500 to $3,000 in revenue.

However, the society’s costs continue for insurance, utilities, phone and archival materials. The station’s roof and gutters are also in need of repair. Therefore, the loss of revenue causes great concern.

You can help recoup the loss by making a donation to the Chester Historical Society. You can send a check made out to the Chester Historical Society, at 47 Main St., Chester, N.Y. 10918 or donate online on our Go Fund Me page at Chester Historical Society organized by Danielle August. Any donation will help make a significant impact in the preservation of the museum and all the wonderful programs that are offered. The Chester Historical Society’s members thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to the community.
