Finding Home Farms of Middletown is a 2020 Good Food Awards finalist, recognized for its Rye Barrel Aged Maple Syrup in the "pantry" category. Finding Home Farms uses rye barrels from Orange County Distillery in Goshen to age the syrup and create its delectable flavor. Orange County Distillery then reuses the barrels to make their maple rye whisky. The 1,835 total entries in the 2020 Good Food Awardswere narrowed down to 307 food and drink crafters. The final 207 winners will be announced on Jan. 17 at a gala at the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center.
