Sixty one seniors who participated in the 36th annual Orange County Senior Games went to the Monroe-Chester Sportsmen's Club on Sept. 21 to shoot trap and bows and arrows. The club is located on Gibson Hill Road in Chester.

Each senior had a qualified range officer who taught them how to fire at the target with a shotgun, or assisted those who already knew how to shoot. All safety precautions were observed while the ranger stood right next to the shooter, and then loaded each shell for them. The shooter took five different shots.

Hot dogs with all the trimmings and soda were served at lunch. Later in the day an ice cream truck came with free ice cream for everyone.
