Where in Chester?

Last week's "Where in Chester?" clue was recognizable to many readers.

First, some terrific background from Clif Patrick, the Town of Chester historian, accompanied by a photo from yesteryear: "This is the recently opened Walgreens at the corner of West St. and Brookside Ave., which succeeded Rite Aid, which in turn replaced the Eckerd Drug Store. The prior structure was the home of Mulberry Street Restaurant, Private Pie, Gallo's Cozy Corner and Sam’s Cozy Corner which opened in 1933. The photo is from winter day in the 1930s when Sam and Jennie Wekstein also pumped Esso fuel in addition to eats, beer and liquors. This 1997 photo was taken by Betty Lou Memmelaar of Mulberry Street Restaurant just before it was demolished to make way for the new drug store. These photos are from the Chester Historical Society archive."

Others to get it right are: Liam and Mollie Hawthorne of Monroe; Maryellen Albanese, Mark Sutherland, Lilani De Silva, DeArguinzonie, and Stephen Zies of Goshen; and Arlene Pioselli, Richard and Karen Kosturko, and Sadie Mitchell of Chester.
