Museum Village opens new textile exhibit

Museum Village staff prepare textile display at the Changing Exhibit Building. The exhibit opens Aug. 31.

The 44th annual Civil War Reenactment at Museum Village will take place Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, beginning at 10 a.m. each day. Tickets are: Adults $17, Seniors $14, Children $12, Children under 4 are free.
Museum Village will feature a collection of 19th century clothing items such as dresses, under garments, hats, shoes and other accessories.
This exhibit will be displayed in the Changing Exhibit Building as well as some of buildings starting the weekend of our Civil War Reeneactment on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
"Some of these textiles have not been seen in public for decades," museum officials said. "So plan your visit to see up close these delicate items full of interesting details, designs and materials."
These textile artifacts will return to storage after Nov. 10.
