— The Orange County Nam Knights will hold its 17th annual pork roast from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at the American Legion Post 488 on Lakes Road in Monroe.
Highlights include a dunk tank and raffles. On the menu are pork, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, hamburgers, soda, and coffee.
The cost is $25, with all proceeds to benefit charitable causes, including medical equipment for Castle Point veterans' hospital, ROTC student scholarships, the Wounded Warriors Project, K-9 vests, and the Orange County Food Pantry.
The mission of the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club is to honor the memory of American veterans and police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, to assist veterans and police officers in their time of need, and to promote community awareness through sponsorship and participation in various community and fund-raising events.
