— Chester Academy high school art students, under the direction of art teacher Marie Kriner, recently delivered painted guitars to Village of Chester Mayor Tom Bell to promote the Summer Chester Music Concert Series.

The concerts, to begin on June 19, are a joint collaboration of the village and the Chester Historical Society and is coordinated by Mike Farrow.

The students were given free creative reign to decorate their guitars, with stunning results. The guitars will be on display in downtown Chester over the summer. Six guitars will be chosen for a raffle at the Bill Perry Jazz Tribute Show on July 29.

Follow the "Chester NY Music" page on Facebook for concert times and more information on the raffle.
