The Shawangunk Wine Trail has announced the launch of its full featured website, www.GunksWine.com. The new site has extensive content including information about each member winery, a photo gallery, Wine Trail events and calendar, online ticket sales, and more.

Situated between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Hudson River in Ulster and Orange Counties, the 80-mile Shawangunk Wine Trail is a group of 14 independently-owned wineries. The wineries are diverse: Brand new facilities and 100-year-old refurbished barns, production of more than 100,000 cases of wine and production of less than 2,000 cases. Each winery strives to produce world class wines and introduce visitors to the wonderful wines of the Hudson River Region. The Trail wineries are located in Warwick, Washingtonville, Highland Mills, Marlboro, Pine Push, Gardiner and New Paltz.

"DevineDesign.com of Chester has been working with the Trail to help us showcase our seasonal events, our wineries, the beautiful Hudson Valley, and of course... our wine! The new mobile-friendly website, together with new branding materials including logo, posters and brochures are helping us spread the word about our unique, locally owned and operated wineries," said Wine Trail President MaryEllen Glorie, of Glorie Farm Winery, located in Marlboro.

"In December 2014, Wine Enthusiast named New York State the 'Wine Region of the Year," said Glorie. "The New York wine industry is being recognized for the quality of wines, number of wineries, and economic impact we are making. We are helping to make New York State one of the most vibrant and promising wine-producing destinations in the country."

The newest Shawangunk Wine Trail event, held April through August 2015, is the Hudson Valley Wine Tasting Passport, where visitors can purchase a passport to enjoy a wine tasting at each member winery. The Trail is also offering a season's pass that gives purchasers a 25 percent discount off admission to all the events of the Shawangunk Wine Trail with just one ticket. The Trail's 2015 special events include: Pasta Primo Vino! a celebration of wine paired with pasta that was held on April 11-12, Bounty of the Hudson, a wine/food festival July 25-26, and Wreath Fineries at the Wineries, the Trail's traditional holiday event, Nov. 21, 22, Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13.
