Money for Chester music venue coming

CHESTER — NYS Senator Bill Larkin (R-C-I, 39 District) will present a $150,000 check to Village of Chester Mayor Tom Bell and other Village officials to be used toward the building of an outdoor music venue downtown, near Village Hall, off Main Street.
The check presentation was to be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at village hall, 47 Main St., as this paper goes to press.
This project will seek to revitalize the downtown Chester business district and is part of the Village of Chester’s comprehensive plan for community and economic development.
This funding is through the State and Municipal Facilities Program and will be administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
