Daughter of Pietro and Lucia (Gianelli) Gemmati, she was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Lackawanna, N.Y.

She married the love of her life, Gerald E. Welshoff, on June 18, 1955, and raised her family in Garnerville, N.Y. She retired from the Rockland County Social Services Department in 1989 and moved to Spring Hill, Fla. She was the first president of the women's auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 11317, a member of Martha's Helpers, a church greeter and a religious education volunteer. She was a volunteer for many years at the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

During her spare time Anna enjoyed visiting her family and traveling. She loved to dance, was a big fan of country music and liked playing cards and board games (especially dominoes) with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Mark (Kathleen) of Goshen, N.Y., and Jerry (Laura) of Franklin, Mass.; grandchildren, Billy, Brendan, Lexi, Haley, Hannah and Jilian; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
