— This weekend is "Cash and Country" music weekend at the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery.

The country music showcase starts on Saturday, Aug. 2, featuring Oxford Station, Chad Caprio, Gunsmoke, and Jay Taylor.

Taylor is a talented country music performer who was recently featured on NBC's "The Voice." Taylor has played for every crowd, from the pews of his church to the crowds of hundreds and thousands at Busch Gardens and the Florida Strawberry Festival. His strong, unique vocals, his world-class band’s distinct sound, and his lifelong love for music allows him to connect with the crowd.

In addition to great country music, a BBQ menu will be available. The menu is an explosion of local flavor. Locally raised, smoked pork from Lowland Farms will be available as well as corn and other black dirt vegetables. In addition, expertly prepared BBQ oysters will be available for purchase.

Music and BBQ start at noon and run until 5 p.m. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Sunday, Aug. 3, is Black Sunday at the winery, the winery’s tribute to the music of Johnny Cash. Black Sunday started nine years ago to pay tribute to Cash and celebrate his life and music. Performers include Tim O’Donohue, 4 Gun Ridge, Girls Guns and Glory, and The Whiskey Sinners. Come hear your favorite Cash songs as well as those obscure classics you never knew.

In addition to the BBQ, The winery’s bakery and café will be open serving sandwiches and pizza. No coolers are allowed at the winery.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Music runs from noon to 5 p.m.

For more information go to the winery website at www.wvwinery.com or call the tasting room at 845-258-4858.
