MONROE — The Playhouse at Museum Village begins its 22nd season with Arnold Ridley’s classic thriller, “The Ghost Train.”
Performances are scheduled for May 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. and on Sundays May 7 and May 21 at 3 p.m.
All performances are at The Playhouse at Museum Village, Route 17M in Monroe.
The plotFor sheer, creeping mystery, “The Ghost Train” is a play without a peer: A group of passengers are left stranded at a remote railway station, facing the prospect of a night in the waiting room. But when the old stationmaster warns them about the phantom train that haunts the tracks after dark, the evening starts to take one chilling turn after another. Unable to leave, the passengers must confront their fears as they await the arrival of the ghostly midnight express.
The play is directed by Steve Davis.
The Playhouse’s season continues with the July production of Alan Ackybourn’s comedy, “Bedroom Farce.”
In September, The Playhouse presents Rupert Holmes’ award-winning musical, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.”
