Let’s say you sign up on day one of the 6-month window. Are you medically covered that day, the next, beginning of the following month?

If you sign up before your 65th birthday, coverage starts on the first day of the month in which you turn 65. If you sign up during your birthday month or later, coverage starts on the first of the following month.
