Village of Goshen police report: 1-10-22 to 1-20-22

    On January 10, patrols assisted the Village of Florida Police Department with a bomb threat at the high school. Patrols assisted with traffic control and evacuation of students and staff. The threat was deemed not credible and is under investigation by the Village of Florida PD. An arrest of an out of state juvenile has been made and the investigation is continuing.

    Also, on January 10, due to dangerous cold, two subjects in need of shelter were transported to the warming center in Middletown.

    On January 11, after a traffic stop, a subject was arrested on a warrant for felony Criminal Mischief second degree and turned over to Monticello PD.

    On January 12, a subject stopped for an equipment violation was arrested and charged with DWI. That subject was released on tickets for Village Court.

    On January 20, two private carrier school buses travelling from BOCES were involved in an accident on State Route 207 at North Connector Rd. A monitor and student received minor injuries and refused medical attention. One driver was ticketed for following too closely.

    Reminder: There is No Parking on Village streets during snow removal operations. Violators will be ticketed and towed at their expense.
