Youth Ending Hunger Club members collect backpacks, school supplies

GOSHEN — This summer, the Youth Ending Hunger Club hosted its annual school supplies and backpack drive for classmates in need.
Club members filled backpacks with school supplies based on the recipient’s grade level to ensure that each child would have the necessary supplies for the first day of school.
The Youth Ending Hunger Club is in its 16th year of operation at the Goshen Central School District. Dedicated to ending hunger locally and globally, the district-wide club encourages students of all ages to participate. Older students model and provide leadership for the younger students.
Club members routinely host drives and fundraisers to help combat hunger, including CROP Walk, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, Bingo and Dessert Night, food drives and holiday food baskets.
