Violinist Kiley Rowe awarded prestigious scholarship

GOSHEN — Goshen High School senior violinist Kiley Rowe was awarded the prestigious Orange County Music Educators Association Performance Scholarship.
Scholarship auditions were held Jan. 5 at Washingtonville High School, where Kiley performed the Paul Hindemith Viola Sonata Op. 11, No. 4.
The scholarship is open to music students across Orange County who participated in All-County festivals and plan to major in music in college. In addition to a monetary award, Kiley performed the piece in front of a countywide audience at the 2018 OCMEA Senior High All-County Festival at Pine Bush High School on Jan. 27.
Kiley is an active member of multiple orchestras and choruses at Goshen High School. She also currently attends the Pre-College program at The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center in New York City.
