— Once again, the Goshen High School Interact Club hosted its annual “senior” prom for senior citizens in Goshen.
The club, with advisor Beth Laskoski, promotes social involvement in the community. It also allows members to acquire public service hours in order to improve their college entry eligibility.
This year, the Goshen Senior Citizens were treated to yummy hors d’oeuvres followed with a variety of other food items. Dessert and beverages were also served. Judy Yim played the piano as everyone danced to nostalgic music DJ’d by Adam Blanton. The night was topped off with the crowning of the prom King and Queen, Greg and Bridget Brown.
The club thanks all who participated, including Marisol Barrera, Salvador Hernandez, Cecilia Moran, Adriana Fuentes from Voces Unidas, and Mary Todd from the Palacio staff who helped set up and serve.
Other event helpers included Goshen Senior Center volunteers Joy Gallagher, Gloria VanderSchaaf, and Loekadia Ward.
