Nancy Hom George is appointed Village of Chester historian

Chester. At the December 9th Village Board meeting, Chester Mayor John Bell appointed Nancy Hom George as Village of Chester Historian at the village trustees' Dec. 9 meeting. A fifth-generation Chesterite, Hom grew up in the house her family has lived in since the mid-1800s. She earned a degree in journalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and a master of business administration degree from Tulane University. The focus of her career has been global communications and marketing, primarily at Big Four accounting firms PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG. She also served as the director of communications and marketing at Storm King Art Center and New York Military Academy.
