Many hands made light(hearted) work

— If you are enjoying the squeaky clean streets of Chester this spring, you have these "plucky" folks to thank.
Mike Flynn organizes a spring clean up in Chester every year. Sue Bahren gave the directions, and community groups picked up supplies to neaten road sides and streets.
The day started before 8:30 a.m., with groups enjoying coffee in Wendy’s parking lot prior to the arrival of students.
Participants included:
Chester Kiwanis & Key Club
Chester Village and Town Highway Departments
The Village and Town Police Departments and Town Boards
Walton Engine & Hose Company
The Chester Fire Department
Chester Academy
The Bellvale Community
The Little League
The Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
Many hands made light work. After the spruce-up, everyone enjoyed a grilled lunch in Wendy’s parking lot where conversation and laughter capped the day.
