James Langlois named interim superintendent in Westchester

RYE BROOK, N.Y. — James T. Langlois, a former schools superintendent in Goshen, has been named interim district superintendent at Southern Westchester BOCES by the board of education.
Dr. Langlois has been district superintendent of Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES for the past six years and will continue serving in that position. Before joining PNWBOCES, he was superintendent of schools in Goshen for eight years and an assistant superintendent on Long Island before that.
He began his career in public education 45 years ago as a high school English teacher in Connecticut. He was recently elected vice president/treasurer of the New York State Council of School Superintendents. He also serves on the American Association of School Administrators Governing Board and is a member of the Association of Educational Service Agencies Government Relations Committee. Dr. Langlois has taught graduate educational leadership courses at Fordham University and SUNY New Paltz.
