GOSHEN — Sections of the Heritage Trail between Goshen and the Chester train station will be closed on weekdays from Wednesday, May 9, until on or about Tuesday, May 29, for maintenance.
The trail will be accessible on weekends during that time.
The Heritage Trail runs nearly 14 miles from Goshen to Harriman with about 150,000 people using it each year for running, biking, hiking and studying. It has access points in Monroe, Chester and Goshen with convenient parking and features historic landmarks, scenic views, a bird/wildlife sanctuary and access to dining and shopping in local villages. The Heritage Trail is the second-most used county park behind Thomas Bull Memorial Park in Hamptonburgh.
