GOSHEN — Art students at C.J. Hooker Middle School were recognized for their exemplary work in the Regional Scholastic Art Awards Competition by the Hudson Valley Scholastic Regional Affiliate.

The students competed against middle school students from Sullivan, Dutchess, Ulster and Orange Counties. In all, the students took home five Gold Key Awards and 12 Silver Key Awards — 17 of the 36 total awarded in the competition.

Gold Key and Silver Key Award winners will have their work displayed at Orange-Ulster BOCES and were honored at an awards ceremony on Feb. 6 at SUNY New Paltz.
