To the Editor:
My name is Molly O'Donnell and I am the new President of Goshen In Bloom. I have some exciting ideas for continuing GIB's mission in beautifying the Village of Goshen! I am so grateful for the opportunity help an organization that has had such a wonderful impact on our community.

But first, I would like to take a moment to thank Jayne Wohl for everything she has done over the years to help beautify and improve the Village! We would not have continued over the years without her help and continued support of GIB! Thank you! (Don't worry, folks, Jayne is still very active with us, and I wouldn't be able to do this without her!)

I know many of you on this volunteer list that Jayne was so kind to share with me; but for those who I don't know, or who don't know me, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I will start by saying that I LOVE Goshen! I am a true Goshenite, born and raised in our beautiful village. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else, and for that reason, I have become more involved in our community over the last couple of years.

I first got involved in Goshen in Bloom about a year and a half ago because I always noticed and admired the flowers, but I never knew who was responsible for planting and taking care of them. It's amazing how one little question can lead to new and exciting endeavors. Before I knew it, I was given Jayne's contact information and planting flowers along side a few trusty volunteers. (We may be few, but we are strong and growing again for the first time in many, many years). I would also like to thank those trusty volunteers, because without them, Goshen In Bloom would never have survived; Judy Greene, Kathleen Welshoff, Maureen Quattrini, Marcia Faber, and of course, Gary Esposito, who is the glue who holds us together!

I have started a Facebook page for GIB, so please go "Like" and "Share" it so we can continue to reach more people and get more support!

We have support of many local businesses and community members. I would love to see everyone on this listing volunteer their time and/or send in a small donation to GIB. Our funds are VERY low and we need your help! Please spread the word about GIB in any way that you can - we all know word of mouth is truly the best way to let people know about who we are and what we are all about!

I am planning to hold a fundraiser this summer so we can continue to do the mum display in the fountain for the Fall — if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please send them my way!

Donations can be sent to Goshen In Bloom, PO Box 861, Goshen NY 10924.
