Gold's Gym opens in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN — Gold's Gym on Sunday opened a brand-new, 53,000-square-foot health club at the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown.
The husband-and-wife team of Don and Tammy Murphy own and operate Gold’s Gym Newburgh and now their new gym at the Galleria. One membership gives access to both gyms, which offer programs, services, classes, and amenities for the entire family.
The gym at the Galleria offers cardio equipment, group exercise, boxing, personal training, running track, functional training, kids' club, Zumba, a women-only workout area, locker rooms, rooftop cardio deck, indoor track, circuit machines, yoga, free weights, and a recovery room. Les Mills’ “The Trip” cycling class guides spinners through a virtual trek through landscapes on a large screen in front of them. The gym is located where the old Sears department store used to be.
